Types of Loft Conversions
If you’re interested in an attic conversion, you likely want to use the space as an additional bedroom, playroom, office, or similar. This usually involves adjusting the roof of your property to create more height and make it fit for purpose. Several popular types of conversions our building company can create are:
Hip-to-Gable Conversions
Created by replacing one of your roof’s sloped edges with a vertical one, a hip-to-gable conversion adds headroom to your loft, turning it into a more habitable space.
Dormer Conversions
With a dormer conversion, we add a vertical wall and flat roof to a section of your loft. This helps to convert the angular space into a more traditional one, creating a much more spacious loft.
Mansard Conversions
Like the dormer, a mansard conversion also creates significant space in your loft. To encourage rain to run into the gutters, the face is sloped at 72 degrees.
Our building company can complete various conversion styles, and we’ll happily work on all roofs, whether pitched or flat.
